The County tasked each union and group with surveying their respective members to come up with a new Vision plan with VSP our current provider. After each association surveyed their respective members and those surveys were tallied the resulting choice was for option #2. This will result in a small monthly increase in cost of the premium. If you remember option #2 was the ability to replace lenses and frames at 12 month intervals. For some this will be a good thing for others not so much.

Our Dental rates will remain the same for the 2012 year.

For those of you receiving the Cash Back each month there will be no increase in that amount of money.

Exciting News comming to Local 1

Did you know that PEU Local 1 Board of Directors recently voted to offer our members a comprehensive benefits package. This package will include items such as AFLAC and the opportunity to make a major appliance or home improvement purchase such as a TV or Cameras and pay them over a period of 12 months through a payroll deduction.AFLAC and the remainder of the insurance’s will also be available through a payroll deduction. Please watch this area for news of when this will be actually available.
